Video Camera Memory Card

A memory card is basically what it's name suggests. It stores a memory or image of all photographs or videos taken by a digital camera. The modern day equivalent of the old movie or camera film, today they have transformed the way images and videos are stored and the quality of the stored images. Memory cards have replaced tapes and are fast replacing CDs and DVDs in music and video distribution industry as well.

The greatest advantage of all digital video cameras, apart from the higher quality of the camera lens etc., is of course the memory card. These cards have a capacity of anything up to 2GB's. The cards can store videos of immense length, and once those have been transferred to a computer, they are back on the camera again, ready to roll for the next lot of videos. Most cameras come equipped with fairly small memory cards, and it is a standard procedure to purchase either one or two extra large capacity memory cards, depending on your storage requirements.

Memory Card

There are several formats of memory cards available. Each one of them is built for either one or two specific cameras, and you must check as to which one is compatible with your particular camera. The formats vary mainly on their speed and storage capacity. The quality of the image produced is generally similar in most video cameras, it is just the inbuilt compatibility requirements which differentiate each card. It is always recommended that you purchase a card which is compatible with more than one gadget, in order to avoid problems in the foreseeable future when you might want to upgrade or change your camera.

Higher speeds are also another distinguishing factor among memory cards. For an amateur photographer speed may not be such an active component of his requirements, but for a professional video camera person, it is one of his most essential needs. The speed with which his camera takes a video can determine the difference between a good video and an average one.

A useful accessory for a memory card is the memory card reader. This does not cost very much and gives you the flexibility of being able to copy the videos from your card on to the computer without having to connect your camera to your computer. You can thus insert another card into your camera and continue working with that, while the first card is being downloaded on to your desktop or your laptop.

The prices of memory cards have been falling recently. As their capacity and their speeds increase, so do the manufacturer's ability to produce them at less cost and make them more efficient. The prices vary according to the type of camera they are compatible with and the brand name. If you are looking for an extra card, you do not have to go in for the more expensive cards, just buy one which is compatible and has at least a year's warranty. However, if speed is of prime importance, then buy the higher value cards which will save you time and provide greater quality.

Nikon Coolpix Memory Card

Nikon Coolpix Cameras typically come with varying amounts of internal memory, as well as a port for SD memory cards. SD (Secure Digital) cards come in a wide variety of sizes, but make sure to buy one large enough to fit your budget, but not beyond what your camera is able to handle (consult your manual for any limitations). The reason you want to buy the largest memory card your wallet can afford is because you don't want to find yourself at a wedding, a family event, or out in the woods staring down a moose, only to find out that your camera is out of memory!

The brand of memory card is also particularly important as well. Does it make a difference? How big do I need? Does the speed rating of the card really matter? Is one large card better than multiple small cards? Keep reading to find out.

Memory Card

Many people buy extra insurance for their cameras and lenses (if it's not already covered under your home insurance policies). Why? Anything can happen! (... remembering when I dropped my Nikon Coolpix 950 in the snow several years back...) With that in mind, why would you buy a really cheap, no-name brand memory card that will hold a once-in-a-lifetime event? Insurance will replace your camera but nothing will replace your pictures after they're gone.

Memory Card Reliability

If you look through your local camera store, you'll quickly notice that there are many, MANY, different manufacturers of memory cards. The top brands, and typically most popular are made by SanDisk and Lexar, which are also the only two brands that Nikon tests their cameras with and recommend to their consumers.

SanDisk claims their SD cards have a MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) of over 1,000,000 hours, which is almost 115 years before the average card fails! Their cards are also rated for over 10,000 insertions and have a built-in erasure-prevention switch to ensure that your files can't be accidentally deleted or overwritten. Lexar offers similar guarantees with their comprehensive line of award-winning memory cards.

Even with the top SD cards, errors do occur but the chances are much less than with no-name brands.

Are Two Memory Cards Better Than One?

Should you buy one large memory card vs buying multiple smaller cards? Opinions on this topic vary, as to the pros/cons. On one hand if you have multiple cards and one gets damaged (dropped in the water, stepped on, etc) they you're still ok because you have other cards you can use. On the other hand, you can buy one large memory card for a lot less money than multiple smaller ones (equal to the same amount of memory).

Your options? There is no wrong choice, only a matter of preference. I personally carry multiple cards with my while I'm traveling, as well as my laptop which I upload the pictures off of my cards on a regular basis. The choice is yours.

How Fast Do I Need?

SD cards come in a variety of speeds, typically faster means more expensive. Which do you need? What does it mean?

The speed a memory card is dictates how fast your camera will be able to save your image from it's internal memory to the SD card memory. It also dictates how quickly you'll be able to upload your images off of the SD memory card to your computer afterwards (although there are other factors influencing that as well). Typically the larger picture file size (a 10 megapixel camera image can be over 5mb is size), the faster the card you'll want. The first trip I took with my Nikon Coolpix 950 had a brutally slow memory card, and my girlfriend (who had the same camera) had a much faster card. We went canoeing and came across a moose feeding by the river. I got 3 pictures of it (one eating weeds, one with a look of terror because it saw us, and one of it running away). My girlfriend got several amazing shots of it eating, a few shocked, and a few of it running away. HUGE difference! Sadly, the savings on the slower card cost me a lot more that day in missed opportunities.

So again, you typically want to buy faster memory cards for cameras with higher megapixels. It's safest to either dish out the extra cash for the faster card, or ask someone at the store which one for your model of camera.

Summary

You'll have very few issues if money is "no object" but in today's times, we need to be more careful with our money. Since you typically don't get a second chance with a lost image (or corrupt memory card), it's recommended you buy the best card possible within your budget. My recommendation? When you buy your camera, try to barter the price down a bit so you can afford the better card.

A great camera can take great pictures, but a bad memory card can save none.

Recover Pictures Post 'Memory Card Parameter Error'

Memory cards have made it easy and convenient to store and exchange digital data. Digital cameras rely heavily on memory cards as these cards offer ultimate storage space to a user. Today, these cards are available in abundance and a user can select from the varied range depending on his camera requirements. The range of flash cards include SD, SDHC, CF, XD, MMC, MMC plus etc. Though these cards are reliable and efficient, they have disadvantages as well. They are prone to throwing errors which render the pictures inaccessible. This happens when a memory card becomes corrupt. The only way to deal with corruption is to re-format the card in the digital camera. And in order to recoup lost pictures, one has only two options. He can either use an updated backup or a picture recovery to restore the pictures.

To elaborate, let's consider a case wherein you load a SDHC card in your digital camera and the camera fails to read it and gives you the error which reads like:

Memory Card

"Memory card error. Memory card parameter error"

Soon after the appearance of the above error, you may not be able to access pictures saved on it. Moreover, the above error won't even let you click more pictures.

Cause:

From the above error it is evident that the file system of the card has become corrupt. Due to corruption, all the pictures become inaccessible.

Resolution

If you ever encounter the above error you can try the following troubleshooting mechanisms:

1. Clean the surface of the card and re-insert it again
2. Use a card reader and access the data on a computer
3. Try and access the data using another card reader
4. If nothing works, the card needs formatting

Since formatting erases all pictures and other files stored on the card, you need to go for a picture recovery software immediately. The task of choosing and employing a picture recovery should be done carefully and cautiously. Ensure that you use a utility which is read-only and doesn't modify the original content.

Photo Recovery is an exceptional tool which recovers pictures and other multimedia files (audios, videos etc) from various memory cards and other storage media like Windows/Mac hard drives, Zip disks, memory sticks, USBs and other removable media. The digital picture recovery tool comes equipped with simple graphical user interface which helps even a novice to sail through the recovery process easily.

Recovering Data From a Formatted Memory Card

In this modern digital era, we are relaying more and more on the digital camera to shoot special occasions, events with someone special, family function or some cherished moments. However, the small chip inserted in Digital Camera or Camcorders known as Memory card can be corrupted or damaged easily. The digital device uses this memory card to store photos, videos that you have taken. You may not be able to access the stored photo, videos on the device when it displays some error message. In such situation, you may end up with losing your valuable memories of a special instance stored in the device.

Another common reason for losing the photos and videos is the accidental deletion. Normally deleting of photos happen when the device is full, and you need some more space to store new data. When you do simple deletion only those particular photos are removed from the Camera. Generally people use "Delete all" option unexpectedly so they will lose all there precious data. You can perform the deletion process whenever you wanted. However, the card should be formatted several times, especially when the device slows down its performance, and if you are using the camera regularly. Another reason for formatting the memory card is if you get some error message or the device corrupted.

Memory Card

If the device is showing the error message "Memory card not formatted" repeatedly, this indicates that the digital device is corrupted. If you get a message like this you might format the memory card suddenly and be unable to find the pictures and other stored data. Formatting recreates the file system and directories, thus if you format the device, all the data stored previously on the device will be deleted. The overall performance of the camera can be improved with this standard memory card formatting. In addition, one more aspect with some digital camera is it provides a low level formatting that deletes all the stored data. This low level formatting helps you to take photos or videos smoothly at regular intervals and it is suggested to do low level formatting before capturing photos.

It is advised to discontinue further usage of the corrupted device for the good recovery results. Always make sure that you have selected a good quality software that can recover all your memorable photos and videos that you have lost. After choosing the software you can download the trial version of the software to evaluate and to get familiarize with the features. The software that you have chosen will help you to recover formatted memory card, SD cards, memory stick, Flash drives and other storage device data.

Video Memory - What Can it Do?

Video memory is RAM memory that has been installed on a video adapter. RAM memory is Random Access Memory and is a volatile form of memory. Video memory first places an image in the sequence it may be running into a frame buffer, which is a form of bitmap. The image is then shown on the screen as we see it either in picture form or film form.

The amount of video memory available on the video adapter is an important factor to how the image is viewed by the user. This is what determines the maximum resolution and color depth of the film. Once this is known, it is easy to see how video cards have evolved from the simple colors into an array of available colors in varying resolution. If the amount of memory stored on the adapter is small, then the resolution and color depth of the resulting image will be low upon viewing. If high resolution is desired by the person using video memory, then a higher amount of it memory is needed on the adapter.

Memory Card

There are a few types of video memory. Just as RAM has varying forms of memory, so does the video. Some of the more common types include VRAM (Video Random Access Memory), WRAM (Windows Random Access Memory), RDRAM (Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory), and SGRAM (Synchronous Graphic Random Access Memory).

Windows Random Access Memory supports two ports that enable it to retrieve memory at the same time that it is receiving it. This makes it faster than VRAM and comes with a lesser price tag. Most of the cost difference comes in the fact that WRAM supports large blocks or windows of video data.

Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory has a transfer rate of up to 800 MHz. This is faster than the average SDRAM. For this reason, RDRAM began replacing VRAM in many products in 1997. This type of video memory is often found in the Pentium processors in computers.

Synchronous Graphic Random Access Memory is used in graphic accelerators. It can synchronize with the CPU bus clocks up to 100 MHz using one port with the ability to open two memory pages simultaneously. It also uses other techniques to increase bandwidth for images.

With video memory your needs depend upon the amount you use the graphic accelerators and video adapters. For those with low usage, VRAM may be all that is necessary to achieve desired results. Graphic artists will most likely be concerned with the amount of bandwidth as well as speed, choosing to use SGRAM and RDRAM types as a solution. Requirements to get a job done will have an impact on the choices made and the cost involved in investing in such additional types. Upgrading is an option for those seeking more speed and bandwidth and can be achieved by simply changing the graphic accelerator and video adapter cards in the CPU. Switching to a more powerful processor may also be needed if upgrading for optimum performance.

Kodak Zi8 is a small and an easy-to-carry video camera that enables you to capture stunning videos. The camera provides a benefit of ten hours of continuous recording and contains an inbuilt memory card slot, compatible with SD (Secure Digital) or SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards. These memory cards, although a safe medium to save video files, can be corrupted due to various reasons, like interrupted read/write operation, virus attack, and improper handling.

These cards once corrupted, display an error message that does not allow you to records any new video or also result in making all the pre-recorded videos inaccessible. For viewing the inaccessible videos, you will need to restore them from an updated backup. But with probabilities of backup file itself getting corrupted, a safe option is always have a powerful Card Recovery Software.

To surmount such cases, you will need to format the card inside the camera. Although formatting the card resolves your issue in all cases, it also deletes all the previously saved videos in the card. To access the formatted videos, Read On.

Whenever a memory card is formatted, the data saved in the card does not gets deleted. Its just an installation of a new file system, which allows you to save new data. To recover all the deleted data after formatting, you need a Card Recovery tool.

In Memory Of - Finding Poems For a Funeral

Planning a funeral service is no easy task, as people are weary and uncertain during such an emotional time. Finding ways in which to express thoughts and feelings is difficult when there are no perfect words to say. A funeral poem is a useful aid, as its words are specifically intended to help mourn and honor a loved one. Appropriate at a funeral, memorial, graveside service, or wake, memorial poetry speaks to the heart.

In the Eulogy

Memory Card

Memorial poetry is a powerful medium of expression and often communicates our thoughts and feelings better than our own words. As such, using poetry in the eulogy can be a most fulfilling and moving experience. While writing a memory poem yourself is always a meaningful endeavor, there are many memory poems available that can accurately and appropriately express the particular message you're trying to communicate-whether it be one of sorrow, remembrance, or hope. A few examples of appropriate funeral poems include: All Is Well by Henry Scott Holland, Farewell by Emily Dickinson, No Longer Mourn for Me by William Shakespeare, or Psalm 23: The Lord is My Shepherd.

On Acknowledgment Cards

Often the best way to express your deepest gratitude for those close friends and family members who stood by your side during this difficult time is to send acknowledgement cards. While, of course, a personally written message is a meaningful gesture, it's also common to include a poem. This poem can be a thank you, a memorial poem pertaining to the loss of your loved one, or a general poem about life and death. Whichever you chose, using a poem graciously expresses your sentiments for their love and support. Below is an example of a general poem you might include:

Poem of Life

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.

--author unknown

Poetry Inscriptions

After someone passes away, friends and family often want a consistent reminder of the wonderful influence and life of their loved one. Since visiting a gravesite or final resting place everyday is improbable, a small token of the deceased's life is a meaningful and practical solution. This is often achieved through an inscription on a particular keepsake or memento. Whether it's a custom figurine, plaque, or personal item of the deceased's, an "in memory of" poem is a fitting supplement. Since the lengths of inscriptions are contingent upon the size of the object, the "in memory of" poem you choose should reflect the space available. The most suitable poems likely consist of short phrases and few stanzas. A couplet or quatrain is most common, for instance. The following is an untitled piece by Molly Fumia:

The season of mourning,
like spring, summer,
fall and winter,
will also pass.

Memorial Bookmarks

Often friends, family, and colleagues of the departed also appreciate a small keepsake or memento. A popular and practical item is the memorial bookmark. Consequently, the medium of a bookmark is conducive to longer prose that expresses experience and feeling in wonderful poetic detail. Despite whether your loved one was an avid reader, a memorial bookmark will hold the place of his of her memory for years to come.

How to Improve Short Term Memory Loss

It can be very frustrating learning how to improve short term memory loss especially if this trend is something fairly new to you personally. Nevertheless, as we get older, our ability to remember is not as good as it was in the past, but there is a way to reverse that situation. I will explain a few techniques that you can use to enhance your short-term memory.

1. Doing lots of crossword puzzles and other types of word puzzles :

Memory Card

You have to stimulate your mind since it is a large muscle and it needs to be exercised. You can easily pick up for fairly cheaply at most stores a booklet of crossword puzzles. Doing these puzzles will keep you sharp mentally.

Even if you haven't done one in your lifetime, start trying to do a lot of crossword puzzles today. I find the best method to use is to make sure that you have a crossword dictionary handy until you have built up the vocabulary necessary for completing such puzzles.

2. Playing a lot of card and board games :

Instead of plugging your brain into a TV set, pull out a deck of cards and a few boardgames and exercise your mind. There are a lot of different things that you will have to remember while you're playing cards.

Also, it is not necessary to find a partner to play with since you can play a good game of solitaire. Try to play a few games, five to six times a day to start off. These games are perfect for improving your short-term memory.

7 Memory Tips - Is Your Memory As Good As You Would Like it to Be?

Some of us seem to have more and more trouble remembering, a name, or some information we should be able to recall easily. How about you?

Are you concerned because a family member of yours is experiencing some short-term memory loss? Can these things be improved?

Memory Card

Yes, these conditions can be improved. How? Here are a few tips.
Exercise - the brain. I imagine you have heard the sayings: "Use it or lose it" & "Practice makes perfect." One good way to exercise your brain and practice memorizing is with the simple card game children play...Concentration. In case you are not familiar with this game, You just place all the cards in the deck face down, so you can see the backs of all the cards. Turn over one card - then turn it back over remembering where it is located. Then turn over another card trying to match it. If, you are correct, remove the pair. If wrong, turn it back over exactly where you found it. Each player does this in turn and the winner has the most matches. Actually, anyone who plays this game is a winner... It exercises your brain, and with practice you are improving your concentration and memory. Exercise - Physically, preferably outdoors -- Another old saying ... "Fresh Air clears the cobwebs out of your brain." I do not know about that but, I do know how good I feel after a brisk walk outdoors and, it does help my attitude and makes my mental tasks easier. Learning New Skills, is an excellent exercise for the brain. Most of our activities are accomplished by rote without our even having to hardly think about them. Not much brain exercise there. Meditation - Research has proven that we actually grow new brain cells by meditating, (quieting the mind). Proper Nutrition - Foods with Vitamin E and B complex are foods for the brain. There are also supplements & herbs, which help the brain like, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, Green Tea, and Sage. I will not go into detail on this subject, but if interested you will easily be able to find lots of excellent books and articles that will be helpful. One of my favorites is "Nourishing the Body Temple" by Simone Gabbay. She also has published articles on nutrition in the "Venture Inward" magazine. Get Plenty of Sleep - This is just common sense. I am sure you have probably experienced the difference in quality of your thinking when you are tired or well rested. Affirmations - "As You Think You Are." Watch your self- talk. (what you are silently telling yourself about yourself). Turn those negative thoughts into positive ones. ( example: "I can not remember" -change to - "I have an excellent memory."Hopefully, these tips have been beneficial to you.

SDHC Memory Cards Vs SD Memory Cards

So what are the differences between SD Cards and SDHC Cards?

Ever since the introduction of SD cards a couple of year ago the format has gone from strength to strength. Of course requirements have moved on in terms of video recording technology and photography and SD cards need to move with the times. The introduction of high definition video and high mega pixel photography would not have been possible if the SD organization had not come up with a faster storage system than the limited 2gb SD card standard.

Memory Card

So they have introduced the SDHC memory card standard. SDHC stands for "Secure Digital High-Capacity" and is now available and is based on the Secure Digital Association or "SDA" 2.00 specification. SDHC memory card standard provides removable SD card memory storage of far great capacity of up to 64gb for all types of digital devices. This includes digital cameras, MP3 players, camcorders, PDAs, and much more.

The new SDHC cards guarantee the user a minimum sustained data transfer speed which is a change from the SD card way of doing things which supplies a maximum speed guarantee. The SDHC card comes in three speeds - Class 2, Class 4 and Class 6.

The new SD card, SDA specifications allows for all manufacturers to share common sustained data transfer speed standards. This was something that was not possible with the old SDA standards. The idea behind the new speed classification approach is that it allows the user to select the card speed based on the needs of individual applications, such as High Quality Photography and HD video, rather than basing their assessment on just a maximum SD card speed rating.

Although the SDHC memory cards use the same SD card physical format, they cannot be used with any SD card host device that does not comply to the new SDA Specification, Version 2.00.

This is not the same in the reverse. Any host device that complies to the SDA Version 2.00 standard can use both SD Card and the new SDHC Cards.

Another variation between the two cards including the formatting system used. All current SD memory cards on Version 1.01 and Version 1.10 use either the file system FAT12 or FAT16. The new SDHC cards with Version 2.00 use the more up to date FAT32. This change was fundamental in allowing the SD cards to support the higher capacity needs of today's multi media devices.

Although the SDHC card uses the same electrical and physical form factor as SD, the SD 2.0 standard allow the SDHC cards to use a different memory addressing method. SD cards use byte addressing and SDHC uses sector addressing. This change in addressing method, theoretically allows a maximum storage capacity of up to 2tb. Although the SDA have currently limited the maximum limit of SDHC card capacity to 32gb, there are already cards becoming available with 64gb and even more in the pipeline.

The Human Memory: How Does It Work?

Every once in a while, you might give a thought to your memory - how well it is compared to other people you know. In recent years, much work has been carried out to determine how much capacity the human memory is capable of. These experiments have tested the limitations of human memory, and found that there are many, despite the fact that the human memory is one of the most amazing mysteries known to man.

The way memory works is related to such parts of the brain as the frontal lobe, the temporal lobe, the cortex, and the hippocampus. These disparate parts of the brain work together, thereby allowing us to formulate and store information in the form of memories. The memories connect us to the external world - the data stored might be about a specific environment, a person, or an object.

Memory Card

Since human memory is such a complex system, it cannot be nailed down to an exact science. In fact, cognitive psychologists working in the field of memory often have disagreements. What has been established is that there are three main types of human memory - sensory, short term, and long term - plus a fourth related faculty called the working memory.

When we speak of "sensory memory," we are referring to the few split seconds that follows the initial perception of an object. If you are able to briefly look at something and immediately memorize its details, then that is an instance of sensory memory. Usually, in these cases, when you are only able to see something for a few split seconds, you might feel like you saw a lot more than you are able to describe.

Some of the data that is perceived in a sensory memory will subsequently be transferred to a short term memory. We call short term memory the ability to recall something from several seconds to a minute ago.

There is also a type of memory that is referred to as working memory. It can be viewed as a form of short term memory, in that it refers to the limited store that is needed in order for certain mental tasks to be performed. Whereas short term memory is rooted in duration, working memory is defined by purpose. Baddeley's Model of Working Memory defines three components to this type of memory - the verbal store, the visuo-spatial sketchpad, and the central executive, which determines control and rehearsal.

Finally, there is long term memory. Unlike short term and sensory memories, which disappear in a brief amount of time, long term refers to memories that can be stored for a period of up to several years. Psychologists disagree on how long term memory works. Some argue that a long term memory remains in the brain forever, but this is impossible to prove, as there has never been a human being who has lived forever!

While it was once thought that there was no real determining factor between what made a short term memory and a long term one, research has since established that the brain contains numerous systems of memory and that information is constantly being transferred among these various systems. Hence, the ongoing research in to the mysterious nature of how memory works.

Children's Short Term Memory-Games for Memory Improvement

As a parent, when you help children learn a school subject or information, they will learn quickly if their time is fun and enjoyable. So, how would you do this? One example is to turn a learning activity into a game. This will get the kids excited about anticipating each new lesson you present. By getting children emotionally involved, learning time will be "fun time." That fun will actually help "program" the information into their brains so they will remember it better. So if you have wondered just how to improve a child's short term memory, just turn the learning into a fun game. They will pick up the information quickly, easily and make it fun for you, too.

Remembering Game

Memory Card

Remember that memory game we all played as kids? You have a set of cards all turned face down. One player takes any two cards and turns them face up. If they match, you take the pair and put it on your side. If the cards don't match, you turn them back over, face down. Everyone playing the game keeps turn up a pair of cards when it is their turn. The one with the most pairs of cards wins the game. This activity teaches you to remember where certain cards are so that you can win the game. This is a great activity for increasing short term memory and it's a lot of fun.

So if you're wondering how to improve the short term memory in children, why not have them play the memory game? You can pick up the memory game at any children's or toy store, or you can make your own with a little bit of artistic ability and set of matching objects, like putting numbers or pictures on index cards. As the kids keep choosing the right cards, you will know they are improving their skill and increasing their short term memory.

Auditory Cues

If you're wondering how to improve the memorizing ability in children, remember to focus on the listening part of that short term memory. Have you ever seen children play sound games? They love sound games. Simply repeat a list of items, such as a series of flower names. Tell the children to listen very closely. When you are finished saying the list, give them a sheet of paper and ask them write down the items as best as they can remember. As the children improve, put more items on the list and play the game until they can repeat the list automatically. This is a great way to improve the short term memory in children that is also fun to do.

Prizes for Remembering

Remember, whenever you're playing a game with children, such as when you're wondering how to improve the short term memory in children, make sure you have some sort of reward system in place. When the children think they're going to be rewarded for winning these games, they will try that much harder and will pick up the information in no time.

The rewards you give for winning the game don't have to be big or expensive. The incentives should be enough to make them want to make their short term memories more accurate. So, have the kids boast a little when they remember better and reinforce it with praise. A little friendly competition against kids to see who remembers best when you're playing with them helps, too. That is how to improve the short term memory in children.

Kingston 4 GB Class 4 SDHC Flash Memory Card Review

Before I start this review I would like to point out that this type of memory card is more suited to a digital point and shoot camera rather than a digital DSLR, the reason for this is that most DSLRs have burst modes and for this reason you will want to get a class 6 card. However if you're looking for a SDHC card to go in your point and shoot digital camera keep on reading.

Now most of you may think a SDHC card is a SDHC card, you can throw any one in there and snap your pictures, but think of this: what if you had been taking photographs of an event such as a 1st birthday, a christening, a wedding or even a music concert when all of a sudden your card fails and all of your photos are completely destroyed. You then have 2 options you can either cry or you can pay an extortionate amount to have some expert recover your pictures, however the problem is that not all of these pictures if any are guaranteed to be recovered. Suddenly a storage card isn't just a card any more is it?

Memory Card

What I liked about this memory card is that there are no moving parts inside it, now you may be thinking so what but this leads to the reliability of the device and more importantly the higher chance of your images being protected. No moving parts mean that nothing is going to get worn down or damaged. Another excellent feature of this class four memory card is that there will be a constant 4MB read speed which is excellent for when it comes to uploading your images to a computer.

Overall the Kingston 4 GB Class 4 SDHC Flash Memory Card is affordable and very reliable and you can't ask for any more when it comes to memory cards.
